When a mosquito bites a human carrying a virus, the mosquito becomes infected and its saliva now carries the virus. When it bites its next victim, the virus spreads to the next person.

    Would have been good to know why mosquitos bite some people more than others.
    I was literally a "mosquito victim" in my youth. Now it's like they are avoiding me.

Rather than using it to edit genomes, as it has been used in the past, the team is using the technology to detect viruses, bacteria, and cancer at attomolar levels, allowing for highly accurate diagnosis with small amounts of sample.
