Some of thing that are quite prominent in the current inventory of western armed forces are slowly but surely becoming obsolete as technology has eclipsed them.” And he said the government“have been very slow to acknowledge this is happening

Hope the stick in the mud people can grasp this new reality. China cannot be pushed around robbed and killed with impunity in broad daylight and forced to accept poison and garbage.anymore British cannons busted the gates of China in 1840 and made China a sitting duck for the most bloody and greedy hunters of the world. China now can destroy pirate ships thousand plus miles away from her shores. China my beloved motherland haa become a most formidable champion and defend er of the weak justice peace and prosperity of all people in the world

Watch out for USA with their laser weapons that can target from space!!!!

It's funny how countries are showing of these spectacular weapons but only seem able to make videos with animation effects from 20yrs ago.

Im also yet to see any missiles, be they from Russia,China or Outer Mongolia for that matter firing on a Carrier that has its genuine defences up against these missiles.

Theres not an Aircraft Carrier that's been built in the last ten years that doesn't have a dedicated, exhaustive defence system against these types of threat.

Lets face it any missile,no matter how high tech they are only has to launch, fly and move towards it's target. The only variable between them is speed, height and distance of its attack.

This "special" rocket is stated to be able to reach 1600km/994mls,It's not exactly ground breaking is it?

The equation is simple – the bigger the missile, the higher it goes and the further it has to travel only makes it easier for anti missile defences to attack, and let's not forget the US has been quietly taking a firm grip on space technology and its not beyond the realms of possibility they have been working on systems to also take out this type of weapon from above not just from below.

So come on China and come on Russia let's see your future missiles being launched at a modern Carrier with its full deployment of defensive weaponry and protection systems armed and ready.

As a side issue Im also pretty certain most western countries also have 1 or 2 anti ship missiles that are as capable as anything in these "cartoons" and actually exist, not in the future but right now.

These missiles are only as good as the satellites in space used for targeting. What happens if the US destroy China satellites at the start of a war? Will all ICBMs be neutralized?

With the DF-26, looks like it more like keeping the aircraft carriers 3000-4000 kms or 2000-3000 miles away. Might as well stay home.
